Photo & PSD Editor edits photos and layered documents locally in Chrome. No account is required.

Files and image content

The extension reads files you choose through its file picker or drop into the editor. Images, layers, text and document metadata are processed on your device. Editing may include information you put in a document, such as a person's name or image. The extension does not send document content, file names or exported files to the publisher or an external service.

Saving and exporting create local browser downloads. The editor also automatically stores a local recovery copy of open documents in Chrome's IndexedDB storage for this extension. These copies include image content, layers, editable text, document names and editing/view selections. They are used to reopen your workspace after a refresh. A tab identity in session storage keeps editor tabs separate. Recovery copies are not sent to the publisher, synchronized or shared with other services.

Closing all documents in an editor tab removes that tab's recovery copy. Copies left by closed or interrupted tabs may remain available through the editor's local recovery controls. Save downloaded files as separate copies: a backup that is still pending, a storage failure or cleared browser data can prevent recovery. Undo history is not included in recovery copies.

Local settings

Editor preferences, such as interface appearance, are stored in Chrome's local storage for this extension. These settings are not sent to the publisher and are not synchronized by the extension. Chrome manages its own browser profile and download history separately.

Network and permissions

All application JavaScript, WebAssembly, icons and bundled fonts are included in the extension package. The editor works offline. It requests no browser permissions or website access, does not read browsing history, and does not monitor other websites. It has no advertising, analytics, telemetry or tracking cookies. Chrome itself may contact Google to install or update the extension.

Sharing and deletion

The publisher does not collect, sell or transfer user data. User data is not used for advertising, unrelated purposes, creditworthiness or lending. To delete a saved document, delete its file from your device. Clearing the extension's browser storage or removing the extension removes local settings and recovery copies; exported files remain until you delete them. For the web version, clear that site's browser storage to remove its local settings and recovery copies.
